Light a Candle
Mia Hartleroad was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on November 26, 2021 at the age of 53. Mia was born to Rhodes Barbarick and Carol Zook on July 07, 1968. Mia had 2 brothers: John Barbarick and Edward Barbarick and 5 sisters: Lynda Jordan, Caroline Franklin, Kathy Wiggam, Donna Fischer, and Monica Barbarick. After graduating from high school, Mia met the love of her life, Tim Hartleroad, while walking through a park where she spotted him playing his guitar on a picnic table. The two were married November 01, 1986 and enjoyed over 35 years of marriage to each other until her death. Together they had 3 beautiful children, Kayla, Christopher, and Samantha. She also enjoyed spending as much free time as possible with her 3 gorgeous grandchildren: Emerson, Mason, and Sawyer. Mia loved spending time in the kitchen where she would create flavorful meals for her family as well as spending time in her craft center sewing masks for every person that wanted them. Regardless if she personally knew them or not. She also enjoyed designing and making creative crafts for her grandchildren using her Cricut system. Her battle with serious medical issues in her recent years showed her courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, she stayed strong to the end. Her cheerful attitude, silly sense of humor, and smile will be missed by all that were blessed to have known Mia. Mia will be honored at a celebration of life memorial on December 11, 2021 at the Crossroads Community Church, 4254 S. 00 EW, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Visiting hours are from 2 pm to 5 pm.
